The Watcher is a boss mob that can be summoned in the Nether. It is very large and uses ranged attacks similar to a Ghast. It is one of the only sources of Divine Shards and Bluefire Stones.

Spawning[]

The Watcher is spawned by using a Call of the Watcher in the Nether. There are no restrictions on exactly where in the Nether the Watcher needs to be spawned, allowing the player to spawn it in highly advantageous conditions such as inside blocks or in traps. The Watcher cannot be summoned on Peaceful difficulty.

Drops[]

When slain, the Watcher drops 1 The Watcher Statue, 1 Bluefire Stone, 3-6 Divine Shards (unaffected by Looting), and 100 Torridite Ingots.

Behavior[]

Upon usage of the Call of the Watcher, the Watcher immediately spawns at full health. It functions much like a Ghast, flying around and shooting explosive projectiles rapidly at the player. The projectile does up to 40 (Heartx20) damage per shot, as well as destroying terrain and lighting the environment on fire. The Watcher will stop attacking and begin randomly wandering if it moves far enough away from the player, which may make it difficult to fight in wide spaces.

The Watcher is immune to fire, and cannot go through portals.

Advancements[]

To-do Overseeing Eye: Kill the Watcher.
