The Corrupted Maul is one of the most powerful melee weapons that can be obtained in the Overworld. It is made with 5 Corrupted Stones, each of which are crafted from 9 Corrupted Shards (a common drop from Enthralled Dramcryxes), and 2 Sticks. The Corrupted Maul deals 18 points (9 hearts) of damage and has 6000 uses.

Combat Application and Uses
The Corrupted Maul is useful against all ground enemies, especially enemies with relatively high health, as it deals respectable damage for a weapon from the Overworld. Due to its mediocre durability, it will not last the player for a long time, though it will be extremely useful to the player when he/she acquires the weapon. Unfortunately, it cannot be repaired by adding Corrupted Stones or Shards in an anvil, so it is not especially wise to enchant it, unless it is an unbreaking enchantment.
Nevertheless, the damage it deals is sufficient for the player to navigate through The Nether and The End, and even through Dravite Hills (though just barely). If the player enchants this weapon with a Sharpness IV enchantment or better, it will be able to one-shot most hostile mobs in Vanilla Minecraft.
However, as the player progresses through the game, stronger weapons can be found easily, such as the Dravite Blade, which deals double the damage (despite having lower durability), and the Divine Sword, which deals slightly over 50% more damage (having infinite durability). This dwarfs the Corrupted Maul in terms of power, and the usefulness of the weapon will be lost. However, this will not happen until the player begins to establish himself in Dravite Hills.
- Creating the Corrupted Maul may be difficult as Enthralled Dramcryxes are difficult to kill. However, once the player has acquired this weapon, killing the Enthralled Dramcryxes will become much easier.
- This melee weapon is the more powerful and resource intensive version in its family, the other weapon being the Death Bringer, which requires only 3 Corrupted Stones.
